Tales of a Viking is a small-scale strategy-RPG you can play in short bursts, out now
Gotta love those hexagonal battlefields
If hexagonal battlefields send you in a tizzy then you'll want to sit down and fan yourself as I show you Tales of a Viking: Episode One.
It's described as a "small-scale turn-based strategy game with RPG elements." And, yes, you play as a little viking.
In fact, you control a party of three, fighting back foes and stealing loot from chests. Levels are randomly generated so you'll get a new challenge each time.
There are also boss fights mixed in with the regular levels and it's said you'll need to figure out a proper team-based strategy to beat those.
Tales of a Viking seems to be the kind of game that's ample for playing in short bursts. You could have a go, change the baby's nappy, and then sit back down for another battle. Lovely.
If you want to check it out it's available for 79p / 99c on the App Store, for free on Google Play, and £1.19 on the Windows Phone store.
