Switcheroo is a new take on match-3 puzzlers from the developers of Quell

Match-3 games are quite common on mobile, but Switcheroo looks like it'll deliver a unique take on genre, when it releases next year on iOS and Android.

From Fallen Tree Games, developers of the Quell series, Switcheroo features the usual grid of icons and colors, but changes the rules significantly.

Rather than moving columns and rows, you must tap individual arrows to move them across the grid in specific directions to make matches.

That may seem simple, but the game introduces various obstacles that'll require strategy to overcome, such as portals, tiles that follow your arrows, tiles that need to be protected, and more.

Switcheroo will feature 75 unique challenges as well as 38 randomized stages when it releases, first on Steam, then on mobile next year.
