Ridiculous PC doctors-and-patients game Surgeon Simulator has just gone live in New Zealand, which means it'll be available on the UK and US App Stores at around midnight tonight.

For the uninitiated, the game sees you taking control of a pair of awkward hands and attempting to manipulate them to perform delicate surgery on your stricken patient (Bob).

Cue lots of hideous and hilarious mishaps as you cut out chunks of bone and flesh while attempting to perform even the most minor of procedures.

This iPad version features two new surgeries: the teeth transplant and the eye transplant. Both of them are probably as horrible as they sound.

Owners of an iPad 4 and up can record and share their surgical mishaps from within the game. Plus, there's a multiplayer mode that enables you to prove to your friends that you have the steady hands needed to save lives. Or end them.

During surgeries, you can use the new touchscreen controls to dig around in chest cavities and eye sockets to make sure everything's shipshape.

Surgeon Simulator will go live on the UK and US App Stores later tonight, priced £3.99 / $5.99.
