Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP walkthrough
You'll be teleported onto a platform to the east of Logfella's hut. Head west and enter the woodcutter's little house.
Talk to Girl. She'll let you know that there are three groups of spirits hanging around the nearby area and you should, like, go find them and stuff. There's one in the deepwater pond outside the hut, one in the sheep meadow, and one in the nestbox.
We'll tackle the pond first. Head outside.
Talk to The Archetype. He'll teach you how to perform Sworcery, which has you holding your finger on the hero until a bubble envelops her. Now tap one of the fish in the pond to mark a bubble around it, and use your finger to drag it into the bubbly circle on the water. Do the same with the other fish.
A Sylvan Sprite will appear. Tap it three times and it'll fire a beam of light into the air. Congrats - you've done your first Sprite capture. You'll need to do this a number of times throughout the adventure, so I hope you found it palatable.
In the meadow, you'll notice that bubbly circle of light again. You know what to do: head into Sworcery mode and get tapping.
On this screen, you'll need to tap all the sheep in a specific order. If you can't figure it out, follow the numbers in the screenshot above. A sprite will appear - tap it three times to awaken the slumbering spirit. Head east two screens.
You'll come across a nestbox with a bubbly circle on top. Enter Sworcery mode and tap the birds (in the order of red, yellow, and then blue) to activate the sprite. Tap it three times to proceed. Head west and enter the log cabin.
Talk to Logfella. He'll tell you that he lost his key to the door somewhere in the unconscious dream-space of his own sleeping mind. Sit down on the empty chair to follow him into his sleepy brain scape, Inception style. Tap the glowing LP to turn into Side B, the dream side.
You are now in the world of dreams. Head south a few screens, ignoring the naked monster thing, and then zoom east. Make sure you pick up mushrooms - these hallucinogenic shrooms will recharge your health and help solve puzzles.
At the water's edge, you'll find the key on the ground. Tap it to pick it up. A throne will appear - tap it to sit down, fall asleep and awake in the real world (Side A).
Head out of the hut and go east towards the locked door in the mountain pass. Have a chat with Girl if you fancy, or unlock the door and head up the path.
You'll enter another battle with the wolf. You know the drill now - wait for it to announce its attack and then slash it with your sword as it lunges forward. To slices will finish it off, for now. Continue east.
A sprite-circle appears on the ground. Stand on the bridge and enter Sworcery mode. In this area you'll want to tap the trees in the order shown in the image above.
You'll need to move the screen around to see all the trees, so hold your finger on the hero and pan left or right to see more of the area. A sprite will appear - tap it twice. Now head up the mountain, and then east.
You'll appear in the grove with the head-shaped rock and a sprite-circle on the ground. Enter Sworcery mode and look at the two rainbows.
Rub them with your pinky until they explode into colour, revealing a double rainbow all the way across the sky. A Sylvan Sprite will appear, which you can tap three times to awaken.
Head all the way back to Logfella's hut and talk to Girl. She'll tell you to go to the sheep field to the west. There you'll find five sprites who whizz up into the sky. Go into Sworcery mode and tap the moon in the sky.
Tap and hold the two glowing eyes, and drag your fingers together to make the cliffs meet. This will make a triangle appear. Walk up to it and turn your iPad to initiate the first Trigon battle.
This battle has a number of different phases, each with different attack and defence patterns.
Phase 1 is like tennis: the Trigon will fire a beam of light at you, and you have to hit with your sword when it's close enough. Do it successfully enough times and the beam will turn red, and come at you much faster. Keep hitting it to enter phase 2.
Phase 2 is a series of powerful zaps. Each time, the Trigon will make a quick charging up noise and your shield will glow. Tap it quickly to dodge.
Phase 3 turns the Trigon in a large number of different triangles. Sometimes you'll be zapped and you have to touch the shield to evade, sometimes the triangles will fly at you and you have to destroy them with your sword.
Finally, the Trigon will charge up and let out one last zap. Evade it and you'll win the battle. Pick up the Trigon to complete Session II. "We got the Gold Trigon. We are so awesome," the game will say.
Indeed, we are awesome.
