Jumping from the paintbrush battles of ancient Japan to a ruined infected future, Touch Dimensions' next game Strain Tactics shift the focus from massive armies to small meticulously-commanded squads, as you fight back against a mutating pandemic threatening humanity.

Reminiscent of games such as Door Kickers and XCOM, Strain Tactics challenges you to equip and control your squad in real time, dragging paths on-screen to set formations and firing lines through claustrophobic urban environments and interiors.

RPG elements provide a wealth of depth and nuance, letting you customize each squad member with different classes, weapons, armor, and special equipment, and managing their weight limits and morale during battle.

Fleshy mutants stalk and surround your team once they're on the ground; sharp clawed rushers are best countered by shotguns, while setting down sandbag barriers can create an effective frontlines against an infected onslaught and air support from your drop ship can turn the tides in a hopeless fight.

Outside of combat, you'll improve your team at their base, deal with infected members (or fight them if they gruesomely transform on your dropship), and restock ammo and equipment for the next mission.

Strain Tactics is available now on Steam, and is currently in beta testing for iOS. More details on the game can be found here.
