The Gold Award-winning SteelSeries Stratus iOS controller will be getting a bigger sibling later this year.

Aptly called the SteelSeries Stratus XL, the aim behind this new controller is to provide more comfort at the expense of portability.

The XL edition has the same layout as the original controller but there's just a bit more room. You can compare the two controllers in the image at the top.

Breathing room

The XL is chunkier, a bit heavier, and comes with handles at the bottom for grip. In other words, it should match the feel of most console controllers.

We don't know what price the Stratus XL will be sold at. We do know it will be available later this year from the SteelSeries website.

The Stratus is supported by over 300 iOS games currently, with more on the way. Games such as GTA: San Andreas, Leo's Fortune, and Bastion can all be played with the controller.
