Interactive Stargate SG-1 adventure to be unleashed on iOS and Android

European developer Arkalis has hit the ground running.

It's signed a deal with MGM over the Stargate SG-1 licence and is bringing a new episodic 'interactive adventure' game based on it to iOS and Android devices.

Entitled Stargate SG-1: Unleashed, it's not providing too many details about gameplay or setting yet, other than to reveal that it will follow a new story arc in the universe.

Quick time events?

As for Arkalis - which was formed by industry veterans from Gameloft and Digital Legends - it points to its goal, which is to mix up very high quality graphics with casual gameplay.

Whether this means Stargate SG-1: Unleashed will be a Dragon's Liar-type game, we find out soon enough as a gameplay video is due to be released in February, prior to the game's March release.
