Has Mac publisher Aspyr just outed Knights of the Old Republic for iPad?

Mac publishing house Aspyr may have accidentally spilled the beans on an upcoming iPad port of BioWare's Star Wars RPG Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR).

In the header of an email newsletter about a Call of Duty sale, the Texas-based publisher wrote, "the critically-acclaimed Star Wars RPG is now available on iPad..."

A tipster forwarded the email to IGN. It's cached online here.

KOTOR is the obvious choice. It's an RPG, it's definitely critically acclaimed, and Aspyr managed the game's Mac port.

Feel the full Force

KOTOR is a turn-based RPG, which takes place about 4,000 years before the rise of the Galactic Empire. You can join the light or dark side of the Force, and your choices throughout the game will affect the story.

On iOS, Aspyr has launched games like Sushi Mushi, Poker Pals, and VooDude. We'll keep our ear to the ground regarding this one.
