3 card games that aren't deck builders that we'd love to see coming to mobile

There are plenty of excellent card games on mobile, but a lot of them feel pretty similar. They're all about deck-building and taking on other players in one on one fights.

But that's not all there is in the world of card games. Here are three that offer something pretty different, and would be a decent fit on your mobile device too.

Munchkin

Munchkin is one of those games that just keeps giving. It's the sort of thing you'll whip out at a party when you're all a bit drunk, then spend an hour or so dicking over your friends.

And I mean that in the nicest possible way. It's a card game about looting, but it's also incredibly funny, and there are plenty of ways to make sure you ruin all of the best laid plans of your fellow players.

And I think it's exactly the sort of game that would work brilliantly on mobile. Either as a pass and play multiplayer game, or an asynchronous online experience. There's even space for some single player with the right tweaks.

Cards Against Humanity

Okay, it might take a bit of work to actually make this, well, work, on mobile, but I still think it could be an interesting addition to iOS and Android.

The buzz from this game certainly comes from the other people you're playing with, so in my head it's going to work like a Space Team kind of many-devices in the same room multiplayer experience.

It's definitely a controversial game, and whether it'd actually get past the Apple censors is a whole other matter. Still though, it'd be interesting to see if it worked.

Space Hulk: Death Angel

It's Space Hulk, but in card game form. And it's actually really good. You can play on your own, or with a bunch of other players. Everything is controlled with cards, from your marines to the genestealers you're killing.

It's smart, and it's pretty damn difficult too. There's a lot of strategy going on, and rushing in all guns blazing will get you killed.

There are dice to roll as well, and the whole thing would be brilliant on mobile. It's the sort of game that shows just how interesting the GW universe can be when in the hands of other developers.
