Apple issues refunds for Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect, future episodes seemingly cancelled

Sons of Anarchy is a big deal in the TV world. Spawning seven seasons and viewed by millions in the US, it holds a special place as its biker-focused story is quite unique.

To capitalize on the shows' last season, a game was announced by Silverback Games. It would take the form of a mobile episodic adventure game, inspired by Telltale's episodic model.

And essentially, this was a natural fit for something inspired by TV episodes. After a mild reception for the first episode, and despite the promise of nine more episodes coming, it seems like nothing more will come out of it.

Destructoid first reported
that the game's no longer for sale on the App Store and its publisher, Silverback Games, has no idea whether or not developer Orpheus Interactive is still actively creating new episodes.

It's been more than a year though and with the game's recent de-listing, it seems like this is the end of the road for the short lived Sons of Anarchy game.

The problem is that a season pass was offered for sale and some paid hard cash for it but received nothing. If you're one of these poeple, you'll be glad to know that Apple is offering refunds on the app and the season pass.

Given the show's popularity and massive following, this is disappointing but also serves as a reminder that you should be cautious of episodic releases coming from relatively unknown developers.
