Early last month, Days of Wonder launched a Kickstarter campaign in order to seek funds for a new digital and physical boardgame called Small World 2.

Just over a week - and $99,230 - later, the Ticket to Ride developer cancelled the project.

This was apparently due to the campaign's many stretch goals, which caused confusion and disappointment among some backers.

According to an update on Small World 2's Kickstarter page, though, the project isn't completely dead. In fact, Days of Wonder will launch a "redesigned campaign" on Tuesday, March 12th.

Exact details of the new campaign are yet to be divulged, but we know it will focus on developing the boardgame for Android-powered tablets and Valve's Steam Box.

It will also aim to offer "things of interest" to iPad owners and backers who love physical products rather than digital adaptations.
