Sky Force is a game from an era when phones had buttons.

It came out in a dim and distant year called 2004, back before most of you were even born.

Well, to celebrate its 10-year anniversary, developer Infinite Dreams is releasing a shiny new version of Sky Force for iPhone and iPad.

According to a member of the Infinite Dreams team on the Touch Arcade forums, the port is about halfway done, and should be available on the App Store at some point next year.

Socialise

It's not the first time Infinite Dreams has relaunched the brand, mind. We gave a PSP revamp of Sky Force a 6/10 when we reviewed it a couple of years ago.

Still, this upcoming iOS version is looking pretty nice. And Infinite Dreams is promising lots of shooting, big bosses, upgradeable characters, and social features.

We'll let you know when we hear anything else about this re-engineered Sky Force. While you'e waiting for that, though, check out the swell picture below.
