In a hefty update to its Gold Award-winning turn-based World War I dogfighter Sid Meier's Ace Patrol, Firaxis has included some new powers that will hopefully keep your planes up in the sky for longer.

With these Special Nation Abilities up your sleeve, you will get a different experience by playing as each of the respective national squadrons.

So, British pilots can perform one extra high-G manoeuvre, while German pilots need only two victories to earn their special power now.

French pilots, meanwhile, can now avoid capture after being forced to land, and American pilots can brush off injuries one mission quicker than everyone else.

The Special Nation Abilities update to Sid Meier's Ace Patrol is live on the App Store right now. It also includes a 'Skip Mission' option and a retweaked Copycat ability.

One of the best mobile games out there. Glad Firaxis is updating with new content.
