Sage Solitaire - the new card game from SpellTower and BitPilot developer Zach Gage - is now out on iPhone and iPad as a free download.

The game "combines the luck and joy of Klondike with the depth of Poker," says Gage. It has you making classic Poker hands, and turning over random piles of cards.

It's all about delivering a version of solitaire with a bit more depth, and one that's fast enough for bus journeys and tight enough for tiny smart phone screens.

Once you pay up for the full game (a £2.29 / $2.99 in-app purchase), you'll have three game modes, statistics, loads of wallpapers and card backs, and night mode for playing in the dark.

But before all that, you can try out the base version of Sage Solitaire for free on the App Store.
