Many UFO enthusiasts still discuss the Roswell Incident.

Was the craft which crashed in Roswell in 1947 simply a military surveillance balloon, or was there an alien spaceship cover-up?

Roswell Fighter HD finally has all the answers - yes, it was aliens, and they were here to destroy the Earth.

Playing out in the style of a classic arcade shmup, the game is dowsed in vintage styling, with music and art reminiscent of the 50s.

Duck and cover

Alien invaders blast their way across the screen, and you take control of a legendary airplace in a mission to send the visitors packing.

There are eleven top-down scrolling levels to blast your way through, with special power-ups and selectable difficult settings.

Roswell Fighter HD is available on iPad from the App Store for $1.99 / £1.19 / €1.59.

There's also an iPhone edition for download. Check out the below footage from the iPhone version for how it plays.
