Indie dev Vlambeer has revealed the release date for its angling annihilation sim Ridiculous Fishing in what is potentially the first-ever trailer to be made with the new six-second video service Vine.

The game will go live on the App Store for iPhone and iPad on March 14th.

In Ridiculous Fishing, angler Billy has to avoid fish as his lure dives to the bottom of the sea, then has to grab as many aquatic creatures as possible on the way back up.

After that, Billy must blast the fish to pieces with increasingly powerful weapons.

This silly and surprisingly addictive game comes from a veritable dream team of indie superstars. There's Super Crate Box creator Vlambeer, Spelunky composer Eirik Suhrke, Hundreds artist Greg Wohlwend, and SpellTower creator Zach Gage. Told ya.
