Project Highrise is a skyscraper management sim from the developers of 1849

Project Highrise is an upcoming sim about building, staffing, and managing a modern skyscraper.

SomaSim's previous game 1849 had you maintaining a gold rush-era town; in Highrise, you'll be doing the same for a vertical city.

You start with the foundations, hiring construction workers to build your skyscraper floor by floor and place pipes, electrical grids, and elevators.

As your building grows, you can rent out rooms for condos and hotels, restaurants, offices, penthouse apartments, law firms, among other services.

You'll need insurance agents, office workers, IT maintenance, and more to work in your skyscraper, as well as hire support services such as office clerks to make sure business runs efficiently.

Similar to the Roller Coaster Tycoon games, you'll also have to make sure the workers and residents are happy and pleased with the services you provide.

Project Highrise is slated to release on PC in early 2016, with the iPad version expected to come out a few months later. The game is being designed with iPad and touchscreen in mind.
