Pokemon Go water festival returns for some summer celebration

The Water Festival is back in Pokemon Go, and until June 21 you have increased chances of catching water-type Pokemon in the wild. You'll also be able to earn three times the amount of stardust for netting them.

There's also a chance to encounter the rare Shiny Shellder for the first time, and during the event, 2 km eggs will hatch Pokemon such as Totodile, Mudkip, and Corphish, with double candy and stardust for each.

Last but not least, raid battles will feature water-type Pokemon during the event, including the Legendary Pokemon Kyogre. If you challenge Kyogre during the event and defeat it, you'll have a chance to encounter its shiny form.

So if you're looking for a way to get outside or get some exercise this summer, here's your chance to improve your Pokemon collection while you do. Happy hunting!
