This week in Pokemon GO we've got a brand new in-game event kicking off today, the global Water Festival.

As you could probably guess, the global Water Festival celebrates all things watery and wet in Pokemon GO. Starting from today until March 29th, you're more likely to encounter water-type pokemon, such as Totodile, Magikarp, Squirtle, and so on.

To make things slightly more exciting, if you're out and about where you would usually find water-type pokemon, you have a greater chance of running into critters from the Johto-region. If you're really lucky you could get your hands on a Lapras.

If that wasn't enough for you, you can top off your avatar with a magnificent Magikarp hat to make all of the other trainers jealous.

So, what are you waiting for? The event's only live for one week so get out there, and happy hunting.
