Gamescom 2016 - Planet of Heroes is a MOBA with a difference…

On the face of it, Planet of Heroes looks like any other mobile MOBA.

It's got an ensemble cast of characters, some bright and funky art, and it's got the word 'Heroes' in the title.

However, developer Fast Forward Studio is trying something a little different, calling Planet of Heroes an 'offline MOBA'.

If that sounds odd, that's because it is: having a MOBA without the 'massively online' bit just makes it a BA. And who's ever heard of a BA?

In practice, although superficially the game plays similarly to if humans were controlling the other characters, it actually makes for a rather dull match.

You're encouraged to delve into the woods, though few other units - friendly or otherwise - tend to come here, so it makes for a lonely experience.

There is a PvP mode as well though, which may alleviate some of these concerns when Planet of Heroes is released in the next few months.
