[Update] Out at midnight: Piano City will make you feel like a pro when playing Lady Gaga on its digital piano

Updated on July 17th at 14:35: Room 8 Studios made a mistake yesterday. It was supposed to have soft-launched Piano City in the Russian App Store, not release it globally.

It has since updated the game and made the change. So, for now, it's only available in Russia.

We'll let you know when it's available worldwide once again.

Piano City must be where the Music Man is on about when singing "I come from far away" in the folk song "The Music Man".

It's a whole city of pianists and music schools. The game has you journeying through it, rising from the bottom to the top, becoming the ultimate pianist.

That's the plan, at least - it depends on your musical skill, you see.

Piano City has a range of classic and modern songs for you to master. Included are tracks by Kiss, Lady Gaga, and Maroon 5, among many others.

You play the songs like you did in Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Yep, that means you'll need to hit the piano keys at the right time as notes fall from the top of the screen.

It's a fun, casual experience and one that PG editor Mark picked out as one of the highlights at The Very Big Indie Pitch.
