Eagle eyed regulars on the
Touch Arcade forums have spotted that
Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe has reappeared on the App Store following recent legal problems. Apparently now in full compliance with all licensing requirements, the game hopefully won’t require further planning permission.
One of the most accessible management sims the PC has ever hosted, the iPad and
Transport Tycoon make for well suited bedfellows.
And, due to its open source nature on PC, the game remains free on Apple’s device, meaning there really is no excuse not to give it a whirl, even if you think goods and passenger delivery sounds a little bit dull.
Visually upgraded and furnished with new sound effects, the game also boasts DLC and multiplayer functionality. If you missed it the first time round, and think the game appeals, here’s your second chance.
OpenTTD is available now from the App Store, at no cost.
