Nowhere Prophet reveals its revamped sci-fi card combat in new trailer
Wasteland warriors
Blending the positioning of sRPGs with the ability synergies of card battlers, Nowhere Prophet's confrontations pits your nomadic tribe's warriors against the roaming threats of its apocalyptic landscape. While the per-turn energy and special card types are familiar, you'll also have to consider placement, as different classes and attacks are affected by where they're placed on the grid.
An additional deck that grants your group's leader with equipment and special abilities allows for new strategies to consider, alongside the party-based tactics.
Outside of combat, you'll travel across a randomly-generated map of routes and nodes, managing your supplies, sanity, and tribe while dealing with random events. Slavers, mysterious machines, other settlements are await in the desert, and success or failure can mean the difference between more supplies, new additions to your tribe and deck, or a slow death in the wastes.
Nowhere Prophet is expected to release first next year on PC, then come to mobile tablets and consoles afterwards; the game is currently available as an early access beta through itch.io.
