All of Nintendo's mobile games will be free, apparently
Expect micro-transactions, then?
Nintendo's mobile games will all be available for free, apparently.
This is what the Wall Street Journal is reporting has been said at a DeNA earnings briefing today.
DeNA is, of course, the smartphone gaming specialist that Nintendo is collaborating with on its mobile games venture.
"Games currently in the pipeline are all free to play," DeNA chief executive Isao Moriyasu is reported to have said.
This suggests that all of Nintendo's mobile games will also be supported by micro-transactions. Obviously there's no guarantee of that but it seems likely.
Nintendo's first mobile game is Miitomo and is due out in March 2016. We're expecting at least four more mobile games from Nintendo by April 2017.
