Night Terrors is probably going to terrify a lot of people.

It's an upcoming survival horror game, currently on Indiegogo, that brings the monsters into your home with augmented reality.

The idea is that you have to save a girl screaming somewhere inside your house (or wherever you may be). Holding your phone up in front lets you see a signal with which you can track her down.

As you do this, you're supposed to turn all the lights off, be wearing headphones, and be guided only the the LED on your phone for light.

On the way to the girl, the AR tech will project photorealistic images on to the environment so it becomes unfamiliar and uncanny.

But, worse than that, it will have you see other ... things on the screen too. They're vile bloated monsters or nightmarish ghosts that want nothing more than to kill you. You have to evade them.

That's the gist of how Night Terrors works but you can find out more on its Indiegogo page. The team behind it is hoping to raise $70,000 to bring it to mobile in 2016.

You can help towards that goal by securing a copy of the game at the $5 funding tier. Or you can splash out and become a voice over actor or get your face into the game.
