Night Terrors: The Beginning is a risky venture. Described as a 'new breed' of immersive entertainment, the game could either be exactly what we've been looking for, or it could fail in a catastrophic and glorious way. Lucky you, horror-lovers, you get to decide for yourself as it's been released on iOS.

The basic idea is that you have to find and follow a frequency. To what extent? It isn't entirely clear, but we've seen very few things like it. There are four very specific rules to follow – play only at night; play only indoors; have the lights off; have your headphones on. Sensory overload, sweetheart. Remember to wear the right underwear.
But this is such a brilliant idea. Similar to how we feel about VR games, after physically wandering around your house in the dark, hunting noises and whatever beasties lurk in the night, how do you switch off? It's an entirely immersive experience that I really hope will live up to its promise.
According to Novum Analytics, there will be continuous content updates and this – 'The Beginning' – is only a taster of what we can expect in the future.
