Neurokult is a neon-tinged game with a hacker theme; an electronic soundtrack; and a level of challenge that tests the speed of your fingers and the pace of your brain.

It is, in short, pretty damn good.

And this thematically rich game of tapping and sliding should hit the UK and US App Stores at around midnight tonight.

The game is all about clearing coloured markers from a screen. You can tap them individually or slide a finger across multiple markers to clear them quickly.

There are three different colours. And you need to select the correct colour from a bar at the side of the screen before you can clear markers.

Then, bombs get thrown at you. Some of these are simple to deal with, sliding across the screen in unison with the coloured blobs. Others sneak in, hurling spiky blockers in the direction of combos for which you were aiming.

Hit too many bombs or let too many of the markers slide across the screen, and it's Game Over. The end result is a fast-paced, frantic arcade experience.

Neurokult should surface on the UK and US App Stores at midnight tonight, priced £1.49 / $1.99.
