Updated 26th October, 11:36 AM: Almost a week after its 0.16 Big Boss Update went live on Android and Windows 10, Minecraft: Pocket Edition's huge update has finally released on iOS.

According to Tommaso Checchi, the update got stuck in Apple's review and it missed out on getting expedited for some reason, though it was no one's fault.

The main point is that it's here, it's ready, it's time to make magic happen so let's forget about the delay and get on with the play(ing).

Grab the game on the App Store if you haven't got it already.

It's that day at last, Minecraft lovers, as Pocket Edition/Windows 10's Big Boss Update is finally getting released today after a bit of a Creeper catastrophe earlier in the week.

We all know what's coming: the Wither and the Elder Guardian are ready to rock your world (and probably hurt you a little), but I admit I totally overlooked that we were also getting Add-Ons in this update.

If you didn't read one of my past posts, the Add-Ons are a pretty sweet deal. They essentially change the game, allowing you to alter the size of enemies and allies, change their behaviours, and download crazy new scenarios such as the Alien Invasion one from this year's E3.

So yeah, back to the Big Bosses, update 0.16 also brings the Ocean Monuments with it and all of the underwater inhabitants that reside there. For more information check out Mojang's post here – because actually their posts are always entertaining – and get excited.

If you haven't bought the game already grab it on the App Store for £4.99/$6.99 or on Google Play for a similar price.
