According to a tweet from Mojang dev Johan Bernhardsson, the latest build of Minecraft - Pocket Edition, 0.10.0 will be submitted to Apple for approval on Tuesday, which means it should be out pretty soon.

The headline changes include support for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and a day / night cycle in the creative chunk of the game. You can build fences and fence gates as well, if that's the sort of thing you're into.

There are the usual tweaks and refinements too, which are probably slightly important, but there just isn't the space to list them all here. You can check out a changelog by clicking right here though.

Hopefully the Android version of the update should land on the Google Play Store within the next few weeks as well.

If you're interested in all things Minecraft, why not check out our video series, the first instalment of which you'll find back at the top of the story.
