Windows 10

Windows 10 is out today. That's probably exciting to someone. And to celebrate the occasion, Mojang has launched a beta version of Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition.

It's $10 (or free to existing Minecraft PC / Mac) players, and available here.

The exciting thing for us mobile fanatics is that Windows 10 edition is essentially Pocket Edition, and all the cool features coming to this desktop version will soon turn up on iOS and Android.

That includes a PC-style inventory, controller support, a customisable interface, the Nether, weather, hunger, potions, enchanting, Redstone, music, new mobs, and more. See the full list, here.

So, if you're rocking Windows 10, get this new beta version of Minecraft and let us know how it plays, or if there are any secret features Mojang didn't announce at Minecon.
