You can't play Pokémon on your iPhone. But Micromon looks basically identical, so you could play that instead. And it's just been released in New Zealand, which means it'll be out in the UK at midnight tonight.

The game features more than 130 creatures to capture and evolve, a multiplayer arena where you can scrap against your friends, and a massive single player campaign with a story and monsters and hats.

You bimble through a cute and colourful world, looking for stuff in long grass, talking to men in white coats, and generally doing the same sort of thing that you'd do in Pokémon but on your phone or tablet.

Micromon will arrive in the UK later today, and when it does it'll set you back 69p / 99c. Unless Nintendo launches a law-suit in the next few hours that is.
