Quirky, IGF-finalist Metamorphabet is now available on iPad. It comes from Windosill developer Vectorpark and will set you back £2.99 / $3.99.

Calling it a game might be stretching the definition (the app is actually listed under 'Education'). It's just about poking and prodding at big chunky letters until they turn into objects or verbs that start with the letter on screen.

So an E might become the head of an elephant. An F might sprout a foot and feathers and then float. A C might have a caterpillar riding a car.

It's weird and playfully surreal, and it's rather wonderful - plus, perfect for young 'uns learning their ABCs. Grab it here.
