Updated 31st October, 08:48 AM: Just in time for the spookiest day of the year, Mental Hospital V is now out on iOS.

Get in and get out without getting buzzed in half or falling prey to a creepy mannequin woman. Grab the game on the App Store here for 79p, and try not to cry tears of pure fear.

You'll be rolling your eyes by now if you try counting the amount of times I've mentioned Halloween this week but it's a popular holiday and there's lots of stuff that can be related to it. Including the appropriately-named Mental Hospital V, set for release sometime soon(ish).

There's very little information released about this game except for what's on the developer's forum page. Set in a mental hospital, my assumption is that you've got to try to get the hell out after making a seriously bad decision. Armed with nothing other than a video camera and your razor sharp wit, you'd better run sharpish before the creatures that plague the area catch you.

Despite being a little cliché, the design of the game is pretty damn good and its mechanics definitely reminds us of the survival horror, Outlast - minus the creepy naked guys. Well, there's a creepy, naked mannequin-like lady, so I guess we're not entirely absent of that creep factor. There's also dragging bodies, a huge guy with a chainsaw, and all sorts of goodies just waiting for you in the dark halls.

Its very limited description stated that we should be expecting Mental Hospital V sometime this autumn, and judging by the previous games released by Igor Migun I can only assume it'll be primarily an iPad/iPhone kind-of deal. We'll keep you updated when more information comes about.
