Mass Effect Infiltrator was released on tablets last week, and, well, it's a pretty average experience, which definitely does not match the quality of the console franchise.

Of course, if you're a big Mass Effect fan, then you'll have ignored us and grabbed it, anyway.

Should you fall into that category AND you own a shiny new iPad, you'll be chuffed to discover that EA has added Retina display support to the game today.

And that's not all EA will be adding to the Mass Effect Infiltrator experience. According to the game's App Store description, the company has a "MASSIVE game update on the way for everyone!" We've already put the feelers out, folks.

Fictional account

Don't forget about the Mass Effect 3 Datapad companion app for Mass Effect 3, by the way, which features Mass Effect 3 fiction to read, a Reaper invasion mini-game, and all sorts of wallpapers for your phone. You know: that kind of malarkey.

Both apps are available to download right now from the App Store.
