Lightseekers is a toys-to-life game which opens the gate between the real and digital worlds
Seriously, check it out
Every once in a while you find a game that has an interesting concept, a nice finish, and generally plays about in fairly unexplored territory. For us, that game is Lightseekers by PlayFusion.
As a mixture of a physical card battler, an epic RPG, and an augmented reality game, Lightseekers is pretty neat. Though the game can be played together with each of its elements (the cards, video game, and figures), you can also play the game with each of these elements separately, though you won't get quite the same experience.
The general story is based around the colossi, an ancient race that was lost hundreds of years ago after a cataclysmic event tore the world in two. The only remnants of the beings are scattered ruins, powerful artefacts, and the giant rifts that scar the planet. After the umbron has awakened, their interest in the colossi is dangerous so it's up to you, a Lightseeker, to unravel the mysteries of the planet's past and stop the umbron.
There are lots and lots of elements to this game that are very difficult to explain, so check of PlayFusion's Kickstarter campaign and read about the project yourself. It's definitely something I want to see out in the world in the coming years.
