As you probably already know, turn-based strategy title Leviathan: Warships battled past Apple's approvals team and into the App Store overnight.

Unfortunately, Pieces Interactive's latest app didn't reach the relatively safe waters of Apple's digital store unscathed.

According to 148Apps, some "last-minute gremlins" have meant that Leviathan: Warships's multiplayer system (which enables you to join or compete with your friends) is "totally borked".

Fortunately, Pieces Interactive will fix this issue in a forthcoming update, which has already been submitted to Apple.

Why?

"The release version of Leviathan: Warships points to the wrong server addresses and thus cannot connect," a PR representative for publisher Paradox Interactive told us.

"This affects the multiplayer function negatively. The good news, though, is that it will be solved with an update that we've already submitted. The status of the update is now in review and it often takes a couple of days [to get approval and go live]."

"We've unpublished the game from the App Store until Thursday, as we're now hoping for both the first version and the update to go live simultaneously."
