LetsTans arranges itself onto iPad

Although it sounds like it, LetsTans Premium is in fact not a tanning salon app for the iPad.

LetsTans Premium is actually the classic Chinese dissection puzzle Tangram, now in big touchscreen form.

Given a set of shapes, the task is to rotate and place them around each other to recreate a specific picture.

Starting off simple, the puzzles gradually get mind-numbingly difficult, with that last piece just not wanting to fit in anywhere.

LetsTans Premium features 700 Tangram puzzles with over 500 different shapes to slot into place.

The head-scratching action takes place over six game modes, including Classic, Checkered and Replica game varieties.

Thankfully for some (and I'd be the first to admit that I'm terrible at this game), there's a hint system in place for when the going gets tough.

With the iPad's big screen, it's not at all surprising to see ancient puzzlers like this being recreated. We're sure to see the likes of the classic Mahjong tile game hitting the iPad in spades, too.
