Leonardo's Cat has an interesting mix of themes, artists, and voice actor. It's coming to iOS soon.

It's a side-scrolling platformer that has you playing as the cat of famous polymath Leonardo da Vinci. Patrick Stewart - yes, the guy in Star Trek and X-Men - voices da Vinci in the game.

Leonardo's Cat also has the talented hand of Michael Frith working on it. If you didn't know, he helped to create The Muppets and Fraggle Rock.

Quite a bit of talent, then, and especially for a small mobile platformer, don't you think?

The game's story goes that da Vinci's latest invention, the Automata, has been stolen by Michelangelo.

As a helpful cat, you must then leap across 60 levels of Renaissance Italy to get it back. Doing this involves making use of da Vinci's inventions to overcome obstacles and traps.

We only know that Leonardo's Cat will be out soon on iOS. Exactly when hasn't been revealed but we'll let you know once we do.

Check out more details on the game over on its website.
