Bad news, folks: Al Lowe's HD remake of Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards won't be - as originally expected - released this month.
Unfortunately, it's been delayed by around a month, so won't see the light of day (or the dark and damp of Apple's App Store) until the end of June.
"Due to the pure number of bugs found in the PC version alone (the Mac version is being tested now, but not via Steam), we're having to delay the game, yet again, until the end of June," Paul Trowe, Replay Games's president, said in an update on the game's Kickstarter page.
"I can't tell you how many phone calls, arguments, and heart breaking conversations I've had with my advisers on this. I SERIOUSLY wanted this game out by the end of May because we've postponed it more times than Larry's been rejected."
In related news, Replay Games has revealed the iPhone and iPad versions of Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards will set you back £6.99 / $9.99.
That price isn't quite up there with the jaw-dropping RRPs you'd expect from Square Enix, but Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards can still be considered pricey by App Store standards.
Look out for Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards next month.
