Crysis 2 writer's trilogy of gamebooks is coming to iOS and Android as Land Fit For Heroes

The trilogy of dark fantasy gamebooks by Crysis 2 and Syndicate writer Richard Morgan is being brought to iOS and Android under the title Land Fit For Heroes.

The original 'A Land Fit For Heroes' trilogy - The Steel Remains, The Cold Commands, and The Dark Defiles - each follow an unlikely hero in an interlocking story line.

These are: Kirellin of House Caith (a skilled war veteran), Calnar (a young Majak warrior), and Ilaria (an accomplished thief).

The mobile game version of the gamebook trilogy is said to be a "multiplayer interactive gamebook experience."

It seems that you'll be working co-operatively with two other online players. Each of you plays as one of these three heroes as you try to survive the adventure.

You'll be able to share items you find with them as well as vote together to make key decisions in the story.

Land Fit For Heroes

While these three heroes are locked down and cannot be changed you are able to decide their sexual orientation.

And yes, the violence and adult themes of the original trilogy is going to be retained in the mobile game version.

Expect children to go missing in marshes, for machine-demons to be manipulating mankind's fate, and the awakening of ancient spirits. And something much darker than all of those...

Land Fit For Heroes currently has a registration page here. There's also a countdown on that site. We don't know if it's for the game's launch or something else.
