First episode of Telltale's Jurassic Park: The Game stomps onto the App Store, compatible with iPad 2 only

Telltale's video game adaptation of Spielberg's 1993 blockbuster movie Jurassic Park is now available from the App Store for £4.99 / $6.99. Be warned, though: it features tons of scary monsters, and is only compatible with the iPad 2.

In Jurassic Park: The Game 1 HD (the first in a series of four episodes), you must explore the vast interactive island of Isla Nublar, while trying your darndest not to get gobbled by a ruddy great dinosaur.

In this graphically impressive adventure - set during the events of the first Jurassic Park film - you’ll, therefore, be engaged in a mixture of environmental puzzling and fast-paced action.

Jurassic Park: The Game 1 HD takes advantage of both the iPad 2's extra processing grunt and iOS 5's AirPlay Mirroring functionality, meaning you can stream the island-roaming action to a HD TV wirelessly from your tablet à la Real Racing 2.

If you’re in a nostalgic '90s mood, have very few qualms about genetic engineering, and you own an iPad 2, you can download Jurassic Park: The Game 1 HD right now.
