Have you ever seen a "Jungle Moose"? It's a rotund hippopotamus wearing a helmet with moose antlers stuck on.

It's also the star of upcoming iOS and Android action game Jungle Moose. The game is both cute and terribly horrifying.

It starts with the Jungle Moose spotting a tasty apple on the other side of a river. Thinking with its stomach, the Moose jumps in and works its stubby legs into a determined swim.

What the numpty didn't realise is that the river is full of ravenous piranhas that want to eat its flabby flesh. Oh dear.

Your role is to swipe the piranhas out of the water, landing on the Jungle Moose's antlers to knock them out. If you aren't quick and accurate then the Moose gets turned into a bloody pulp, and yep, it's quite a nasty sight.

Unfortunately, the piranhas also go into frenzies and may overwhelm your swipes. You can see how that plays out in the video below.

Jungle Moose is the side project of Tyson Ibele, who is also working on zombie apocalypse survival game Zombox for iOS, and hopefully Android and PC, too.

He's been working on a few other things recently, putting Zombox on hold for a little while. He should be returning to its development shortly, though.

As to Jungle Moose, Ibele reckons it will be out on iOS and Android soon. We'll let you know when it is.
