Do you like shooting things? If the answer is yes then you may want to consider giving Isolani a look.

This is the next first-person shooter from the people behind the not-so-great The Drowning. But, rather than carry on that game's innovative control scheme, Isolani has a more standard twin-stick shooter input.

The controls work, but the game itself isn't too exciting. PG editor Mark gave Isolani a play a month ago and wasn't too impressed by it.

But isn't shooting things great? I've always found there's a catharsis in shooting a virtual gun, even if the game isn't up to much. Maybe that applies here, too.

The most intriguing aspect of Isolani is its story, which is about an energy arms race around the last star. That might be worth sticking around for. Might.

But maybe you just want to shoot robots. In which case, go and download it for free from the App Store right now.
