Hearthstone's Monster Hunt kicks off today
It's a graveyard smash
Hearthstone’s new Monster Hunt mode opens today for players in the EU, US, and Korea, making it the perfect time to jump into the game and see what the new Witchwood expansion is all about.
Monster Hunt follows the hugely popular Dungeon Hunt format from Hearthstone days of yore. Join the hunt, and you’ll choose from four playable heroes:
- Time Tinker Toki - a time traveling mage whose ability “Temporal Loop” allows players to begin their turn again.
- Tess Greymane - A rogue character whose ability “Scavenge” discovers a class spell that’s already been cast and adds it to the player’s hand.
- Darius Crowley - A warrior who can use his hero power to fire all of his cannons at once. If a minion falls during the attack, the cannon is instantly reloaded and the power can be used again.
- Houndmaster Shaw - A skilled hunter who relies on the “Dog Whistle” hero power to call his hounds and instantly attack all minions.
These heroes also have their share of personal enemies, too, and the hero you choose will affect the boss you’ll have to defeat at the end of the hunt. Once you beat each of the special enemies, you’ll have the chance to challenge Hagatha using all four heroes combined. If you’re victorious, you’ll earn a Monster Hunter card.
