Blizzard just announced the next Hearthstone expansion, out this April

As we expected, Hearthstone’s next expansion, The Witchwood, is arriving this April as the game kicks off its Year of the Raven. The Witchwood pays homage to all things spooky—witches and specters and the like.

The expansion is set in the cursed city of Gilneas, and it will introduce 135 brand new cards and a new single-player campaign that looks similar to the Dungeon Run from Catacombs and Kobolds. The folks at Blizzard showed off six of the new cards today to give us a taste of what’s to come. The new set features cards with some interesting traits, including the ability to copy your opponent’s hand, playing the same card multiple times during a turn, and upgrading or lowering the cost of your Hero Power. The team also teased a new Hagatha Hero card, though we’re still not quite sure what its abilities will be yet.

The expansion is up for pre-purchase now, which comes with an impressive 70-card bundle. You can check out all of the details on Hearthstone’s website.
