Permanent bans threatened

Blizzard bans thousands of Hearthstone accounts using bots until 2015

Blizzard has banned several thousand Hearthstone accounts that were using bots until 2015.

These bots are used to automate play, calculating the best moves to make while playing against human opponents.

Of these, Blizzard said "fair play is at the core of the Hearthstone experience, and cheating and botting will not be tolerated."

It also added that if any account is found to be cheating in any way will be permanently banned without warning.

Blizzard also asks players that suspect an account of cheating or using a bot to let them know at [email protected].

Hearthstone can be downloaded for free on the App Store. It will be coming to Android tablets soon.
