Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery reveals its dark side this Halloween
Celebrate the Dark Arts with this Halloween update
Ever fancied turning a fellow student's head into a pumpkin through the use of some highly questionable magic? If yes (I mean, who exactly would say no), then you'll likely be overjoyed to hear that you can do exactly that in the latest update for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery.
This Halloween-themed update brings with it some new side activities, and players will be challenged to defend the school as dark forces arrive upon the full moon.
You're also going to have to show off those defensive skills in a new Duelling Club event – this is where that pumpkin head spell comes in.
The Great Hall has received a bit of a seasonal shift in décor, and some series favourite ghostly characters can now be seen lurking about.
For those not in the know, Hogwarts Mystery is a narrative adventure title with some RPG elements. Players can create their own student, attend various classes, form friendships with other students, and make key decisions that will shape the story and world around them. Most People: I can't believe it's October.

We reviewed it earlier this year, finding the package as a whole to be a very mixed bag indeed. On release, it certainly showed some promise, but a poorly implemented energy meter ended up stunting most of that potential.
Since then, the game has seen many improvements – this new update included, so it's now worth giving it a second chance or delving in for the first time.
If that all sounds good to you, then I'd suggest heading on over to the App Store or Google Play where the game is available now for free.
