iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed
|

Every week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to find the diamonds in the rough is no easy task, let us assure you.

We like to think we do a pretty good job with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, expert reviews, and comprehensive features, mind.

But, now we want to know what YOU think.

Today, we're going to ask you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android from the past week (from the nominations below), and then we'll announce the winner in a glamorous article next Monday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment at the bottom of this article, reply to our Game of the Week tweet, answer the poll on Facebook, or smear your selection on the wall of a laboratory in an evil scientist's blood.

The nominations
League of Evil 3 (iPhone, iPad) The third game in the League of Evil series is tougher and better looking than its predecessors. You're still leaping around bite-sized levels punching scientists, though.
Colin McRae Rally (iPhone, iPad) An HD remake of the PSone classic Colin McRae Rally 2.0, this mud-splattered racer features plenty of cars and tracks for petrolheads to get their oil-stained teeth into.
Magic 2014 (iPad, Android) In this yearly spruce-up to the classic deck-building fantasy card game, there are new cards, duels, and a shiny new lick of paint.
Layton Brothers: Mystery Room (iPhone, iPad) A mysterious new adventure featuring Professor Layton's brother. There are plenty of grisly murders here for you to try and solve. Starting yesterday.
Bombcats: Special Edition (Android) This cat-hurling puzzler from Radiangames has shed its free-to-play payment skin and made its Google Play Store debut this week.

Harry used to be really good at Snake on the Nokia 5110. Apparently though, digital snake wrangling isn't a proper job, so now he writes words about games instead.
