How far can you fling a bulky Scotsman with a full beard?

That's what you'll discover in Ruffian Games's Highland-themed action-strategy game Game of Glens.

In this one, you see, you control a Scottish clan. You'll use them to build structures and weaponry to take on other clans in the Highland sports.

You'll be flinging them in catapults, launching charging cows, rolling flaming whisky barrels, and chucking exploding haggis bombs.

Game of Glens actually started out under the title "Tribal Towers", but Ruffian decided it wasn't distinctive enough and reworked it.

In terms of target platforms for Game of Glens, Ruffian Games's James Cope has some good and bad news for us.

"Yes, long term we still want to bring the game to tablets. But PC is going to be our first / lead platform," Cope said.

"Right at this moment, we're uncertain if a tablet version would be featured as a stretch goal in the Indiegogo campaign. But we'd definitely push to include it if the demand is there and we can get the right backing for it."

Heave-ho

Game of Glens was unveiled yesterday as part of the Square Enix Collective. The Collective represents a way of gauging interest in a game before its maker goes down the crowdfunding route via Indiegogo.

Unfortunately, many fans were left disappointed when they discovered Ruffian's recent announcement wasn't about Crackdown 3. For those not in the know, Ruffian was responsible for Crackdown 2 on Xbox 360.

That might explain why Game of Glens hasn't exactly been met with the warmest of receptions by its fanbase.

You can vote on whether or not you'd back Game of Glens on Indiegogo over on its Collective page, though.
