Slitherine sends frozen strategy game Frontline: Road to Moscow onto the App Store

Battle Academy developer Slitherine has marched chilly real-time strategy game Frontline: Road to Moscow onto the App Store.

In this one, you command the German Army and have to help your troops invade Russia and lead the Wehrmacht on towards Moscow.

You'll command over 100 different units; face blitzkriegs, trench wars, and dogfights; fight on land, sea, and in the air; and tackle battle situations (like missions to capture a convoy or recover documents).

You'll also see your troops get stronger based on combat success and experience. Furthermore, your (surviving) soldiers will follow you from mission to mission.

There are 12 battle scenarios included, and they're all inspired by historical missions. You can also buy the Operation Tycoon and Operation Citadel campaigns at £1.49 / $1.99 a pop via in-app purchases.

Our strategy guru Matt Thrower is currently entrenched on the Eastern Front playing this game right now and will have a review ready to go live on the site soon.

Until then, you can get Frontline: Road to Moscow on iPhone and iPad for £1.99 / $2.99.
